In this collection, prepared for art museums and supported by the Valistustalo grant, I have created pieces representing seven critically endangered birds in the Oulu region of Finland, whose populations have drastically declined due to habitat destruction and human activities. Using materials such as wood, recyclable trash, and paper waste, I emphasize the precarious situation these birds face. Through my art, I aim to convey the message that Finland has always been a home to these species, who have lived alongside us for centuries. They have the right to continue living in their natural habitats, just as they always have.
